Went to the Maple Syrup festival at the Girl Scout camp. The girls had a lot of fun learning how maple syrup was made, we got to see the trees and lines that collected the maple sap, the boiler that turned it into syrup. We chopped wood to help keep the boiler going and even got to take home a bottle of real maple syrup. We also went to the Boonshoft Museum and had some fun. Then we spent the day in Urbana doing some local sight seeing- of course thats not complete without a trip to Carmazzi’s and to see the giant loaf of bread. We also checked out Grandpa Joe’s Candy Store in Springfied. We also made a new squirrel friend that visited us almost everyday!
