We started December off with Lyndie getting her new glasses. I’ve never seen anyone so excited about glasses. She only needs them when doing close up work/reading, but I think she would wear them all the time if she could.

We went to watch friends perform in the Red school of Music’s Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer. While we were waiting for the show to start they asked for volunteers from the audience to play a trivia game. I’ll give you 3 guesses who was jumping out of their seat to get picked, but i think you’ll only need one.

We spent much of December driving around looking at Christmas lights, baking, visiting with friends and family. We always go thru the drive thru lights at Butch Bando’s Fantasy of Lights

This year we also drove thru Lights of Glenross. The girls really enjoyed getting out doing some walking thru the tunnels.

We had some really special visitors come to our house in December. This beauty came and hung out on our back deck for quite some time.

Then we had this VERY special visitor. SANTA!!!!!!! Uncle Curt, Aunt Sandy and the boys also came. Tanner wanted nothing to do with Santa, but the rest of the kiddos thought it was so neat that the REAL SANTA came to our house.

We had a family fun day in downtown Columbus. Stop #1 was the main branch of the Columbus Metropolitan Library. We enjoyed the trains and the book snowman.

Second visit was to the Ohio State House- we took a tour, listened to a little bit of the concert and then headed to lunch, after lunch we headed to our 3rd stop which was the Columbus Museum of Art. We went for the Maurice Sendak exhibit and stayed for the all of the other wonderful exhibits.

We rounded out the day but going thru the drive thru light display at historic Crew stadium. To say we weren’t impressed would be a compliment. They had so much potential but very poor execution.

Finally it’s time for Lyndie’s class performance of 101 Dalmatians with Red School of Music. Lyndie really really really loved being on stage and performing. She got to play Patch one night and was part of the ensemble the second night.

We celebrated Christmas with Ninny and Baba early due to my work schedule. Baba made his FAMOUS lasagna aka cheese soup!

We spent a lot of time snuggling, playing games and watching movies while we stayed warm inside during the cold snap we had that brought -30’s feels like temps.

We had to postpone our Christmas celebration with Nanna and Papa due to illness and then they went on NYE while i had to work- so no pics, but i heard it was a great time. Nanna and Papa got the grown ups museum memberships, the kiddos got more HP and Stitch stuff. I can’t wait to take them to some new museums.

December is full of traditions and the last one of the month is the girls spending NYE with Ninny and Baba. I don’t have any photographic evidence but i’m sure they stayed up late, ate too much junk food and had a great time!

We’ve got big plans for 2023- what about you?? Stay tuned to see what adventures we get into next year!
