October started by continuation of that camping trip. We also celebrated my birthday while camper. My sister in law made me a birthday cake (gluten free so Matt and Lyndie could have some). My sister in law is THE BEST!!

https://ohiodnr.gov/discover-and-learn/safety-conservation/about-ODNR/geologic-surveyWe celebrated National Fossil Day for the first time. We went to the Ohio State house and took a fossil tour led by the ODNR Division of Geological Survey and the wonderful Mr. Dale from the OSU Orton museum (if that sounds familiar it because its the same museum we took the girls too for Lyndie’s birthday trip to see Dinosaur bones)

We also went to the main branch of the Columbus Library to see the Dinosaurs- we were slightly dissapointed, but enjoyed our day together anyway.

We went to Bainbridge for the Fall Festival of Leaves and of course the beautiful scenery.

We took a homeschool field trip to Freshwater Farm of Ohio . The girls didn’t want to go and thought it would be awful but it turned out to be actually quite fun and educational. My only regret was going when it was SOOOO cold but we survived and will definitely go back again when its warmer.

We baked and decorated some halloween cakes!

We all went on a girl scout trip (zombie apocalypse training)

Sadly we lost a very special lady, my birthday twin, my Great Aunt Cenis! she just turned 91 on 10/2. She and i might have been 50 years apart but we always had a special bond. My girls enjoyed visiting with her also.

We took the girls to their first symphony concert. The Columbus Symphony did a wonderful kids program, the kids were encouraged to wear halloween costumes, so did the musicians.

The concert lasted about 45 min- just perfect length for the kiddos.

Stay tuned for what adventure we get into next!
