We had another BUSY month with lots of fun! First up we got to visit with Cousin Clara! Clara was in from out of state and we spent one day just hanging out with her and Nanna and Papa at “The Farm”

I had a chance to take both girls out separately for some mommy/daughter time. Trinity and I went to lunch and shopping at target, but had to cut our day a bit short so we could get back in time for the art show- keep reading to find out more about the art show.  Lyndie and I had a day full of trying all sorts of new GF foods/snacks(Bake Me Happy, Our Cupcakery, and Cap City, Johnson’s ice cream) doing the fairy door trail in dublin and also shopping at Target, a trip to the Dublin Library where she made a Stitch bookmark. She thought it was absolutely hilarious to get a water from starbucks with a “coffee lid” It was basically a “yes” day for her. We had a great time.

The girls participated in an art show at the Marysville Art League. They are so spoiled that Ninny, Baba and Nanna came to see their art work on display.

Another HUGE milestone happened this month! The girls went to sleep away camp for the first time. We all camped at the local KOA and then we took them to girl scout camp for just one night, they had a good time and both said they can’t wait to go back again. T had a bit of a rough time when it was time to go to bed, but her leaders and her sister helped her have a good night! We got to see Arial at the campground before heading to girl scout camp.

We took the girls to the horse races at the Champaign County fair, Lyndie thought it was boring, but T liked watching them and guessing which horse would win.

We had a play day with friends that ended at Bennys pizza with a magic show with Erica, a book signing and we were even lucky enough to get “baby sit” “Sedgie the Hedgie” her pet hedgehog, star of the magic show and of course she made balloon animals- it was a great way to end our day!

We met some friends for hiking and creeking- squeezing in all the last bits of summer.

Of course no summer meet up is complete without ice cream

Just when you thought that was a lot of fun for one month, theres still more. We checked another state off our lists and we headed up north to Michigan. We stayed near East Tawas and Oscoda, MI. The girls played in Lake Huron and we hiked in Huron National forrest- Lyndie and I braved all those stairs to get down to the water level, beautiful views, but then we had to climb back up all those stairs, all 242 of them!

We rounded out the month with Matt taking the girls on surprise trip to Kings Island, I took in a high school football game to watch my niece Emma march in the home opener of her senior year, and the girls each made some homemade presents for a friends birthday that is coming up soon.

Thats a wrap on August but we have big plans for September, mostly that Trinity aka T-bird, aka 1.0, aka peanut, aka goose, aka Trin, aka TT, the kid who I said would only be called by her given name and rarely is turning double digits, the big 1-0 is just around the corner!!!!
