Wow what a busy busy month July was. We had so much happen that i need to take the time to make this post a bit longer and more detailed than last few.
We started the month off by decorating 4th of July cupcakes to donate to The Houston House for their holiday activities. This also completed 2 parts of our 4H project (teaching someone else (in this case Trinity taught Lyndie) how to decorate and donating cupcakes)
Then we went to the Orton Geological Museum at OSU where we got a private tour and had the chance to chat with the Curator/Paleontologist. This is just one of the things that Lyndie asked for her birthday.
We celebrated this guy turning 7!!!! Happy Birthday Parker!!
Lyndie had a Mary Poppins themed camp! She was so lucky to have so many friends she knew in camp with her.
We went camping with my brother and his family. We had the best time at Indian Lake State Park, we fished, we watched a movie on the projector, lots of bike riding! So much fun we decided to do it again in September!
Lyndie turned 8!!! We celebrated her special day by going to Der Dutchman for breakfast, then to get our nails done, after our nails it was time to head to the zoo, and then finally we took her for a special surprise birthday dessert- she is newly gluten free but this cookie and ice cream at BJ’s fits the bill. After our bellys were full we went to build a bear and ended the day by going to Ninny and Baba’s for a birthday sleepover.
Trinity wrapped up her first year of 4H by submitting her cake decorating project at the fair. She scored A/Excellent and even got an honorable mention for her rainbow heart cake! She had an excellent first year and can’t wait to do it again next year- though she says next year she is only taking an art project.
No Birthday is complete without a party. We had planned to have her party at the park but had a last minute change in location due to the weather. I didn’t take many pictures during the party, but she had a Stitch theme party, I think everyone had a great time despite the weather.
On our only trip to the fair as a family of 4 the girls found cookie decorating and poor T hurt her pinky that resulted in an urgent care trip/x-rays. No breaks thank goodness- don’t worry is already as good as new.
I’ve got to stop leaving my phone unattended, every chance they get, they are leaving me cute selfies 🙂
Not pictured this month is movies with friends, we saw the new Minions movie “The rise of Gru”, trips to Kings Island and overnights with Ninny and Baba and many many hours of playing with kids in the neighborhood. Come back soon to see what we get into next.
Sounds like a great month!
