I, Trinity made my big debut yesterday! It was a busy day, so I\’ll let mommy tell you the story! So far I\’m not sure what to think of \”life on the outside\”, but I know that I love my Mommy and Daddy very much! I can\’t wait to meet the rest of my family.
My birth story as told by Mommy!

10 am membrane sweep at Dr office ( holy painful)!!!! Dr days she bets that I go into labor on my own in 12-24 hours, but schedules fetal NST for Monday and induction for Wednesday night.
We went to lunch and walked around the mall for a bit, started having regular contractions meeting the 5-1-1 rule so off to L&D we went. Got to L&D about 230 and was checked still only 1 and 50%, the nurses had me get up and walk for an hour, rechecked and no cervical change, sent home. Nurse suggested a warm bath and getting on all 4\’s and rocking to help thru the pain. This was somewhat effective. DH and I were able to relax a bit and I even fell asleep for a few minutes. It had seemed the contractions were letting up. I finally convinced myself that I should eat, DH fixed me some toast and brought it to me. As soon as he brought it in I got really nauseas and ran off to bathroom to get sick. While I was in bathroom and DH was trying to help me, the dogs ate my toast!
Finally return back to bed and DH fixes me more toast and I\’m able to eat. He decides to leave me alone for a bit and go watch tv in living room. I start having severe contractions and went into the bathroom to run another bath since that seemed to help a little earlier, I scared DH when I turned the water on, oops, because I hadn\’t told him what I was doing. After about 10 min of soaking in the tub the contractions got worse!! I yelled for DH and he came and coached me thru some contractions but they just kept coming harder and faster and were truly truly miserable. DH called OB who said get to the hospital. Off we go back to the hospital a 1 hr drive. I think I had contractions for 90% of the ride. Get to the hospital and I can\’t walk or talk, So DH gets a wheelchair for me. We get up to L&D about midnight.

When we get to L&D the nurse,April, checked my cervix and to my surprise and excitement she said I was a 4!!! She said that change was enough to get me admitted. She asked me what my plans were for pain, I had planned my entire pregnancy to go all natural but the contractions hurt so bad I decided to go with the epidural. After that things started happening very quickly! A nurse came in and started my IV and drew my labs, my nurse got my delivery room ready. By 115 I was in my room, epidural was in, catheter was in and I was officially admitted. The epidural allowed me to take a nap and allowed DH to to do the same. The nurse came back in about 3 to help me change positions and said the midwife would be in around 4 to check me and break my water.
4am midwife comes in and checks me and I\’m still only a 4-5, but 70%. She broke my water, I didn\’t really feel it because if the epidural. The nurse helped me reposition again and I was able to doze off again for a while.
530 I started having lots of pressure so she decided to check me again and to my surprise I was a 7-8 and 90%!
650 now 10cm dilated!!! Nurse says they will let me labor down and to call when I feel a lot of pressure or a need to push.
845 am doctor calls and says she is near hospital and would like nurse to start pushing with me, so push I did. With my husband on one side and the nurse on the other we pushed about 3x with every other contraction for a while (all the while telling me that baby has a head full of dark hair) until doctor got there about 920 and we began to push 3x with every contraction and with 10 good pushes in 23 minutes out came my beautiful baby.
Matt got to announce to me \”it\’s a girl\”
They laid her immediately up on me and I fell in love from the moment of her first cry ( well I loved baby before she was born, but you know what I mean. The nurses were wonderful and let us have those precious first moments to bond! Matt got to cut the cord. She continue to lay on me for a while before they took her to be measured. My beautiful girl weighed 7#5oz and was 20.5\” long.
After a little while Matt went out to the waiting room to tell the anxiously awaiting grandparents (Nana and Papa Graham and Nana Winterhoff ) that our bundle of joy was here!
We spent the rest of the day bonding and visiting.
Papa Graham bought her the cutest socks. Nana and Papa G left. Matt ran home to shower, take care of Trinity\’s big sisters, Rylyn and Lucy. Nana W stayed almost all day, I had to twist her arm to hold Trinity so I could shower and fill out paperwork.
Papa Winterhoff came to see her when he got off work, Aunt Katie and Uncle Joe came up too. Nana G came back to the hospital and brought Trinity some adorable outfits! We had many many phone calls and text messages from family and friends wanting to know the details and pictures.
After all our visitors left we had some time to bond just the three of us. Trinity went to the nursery from about midnight to 530, so we could get a few hours of sleep, since neither of us got much sleep on Thursday.
We look forward to what\’s in store for our little family. We cant wait for Trinity to meet everyone!
Well we know this is long so thanks for reading!
